I'm in Carnarvon now, going to Exxy in morning. Dare say it will be a brief stay. I think l will be back down here on Wednesday with the 100s of other travellers. I'm not holding my breath about the roads being open to head back to Exmouth after afew days.
BOM, Windy.com and Seabreeze are saying different things. i think the low forming off Christmas Island is going to interact with the one off Indo and will push it around a bit.
One forecast has them within 100km of eachother on the 10th
One forecast has them doing a full 360 degree loop around eachother NW of Exmouth
One has doom and destruction for Denham on Sunday night with 80 knots from the north
One has a bit of a fizz crossing the coast at Kalbarri on sunday.
What is remarkable is that it the worst case forecast has it doing 1200km in the 24 hours after it crosses the coast
I'm contemplating an overnight stay in gero with my two boys Sunday night so we can still have our holiday in Denham albeit cut down by one day. Then head off from gero to Denham around midday on Monday. Looking at the forecast we should be able to avoid the cyclone. Can anyone recommend anywhere to stay overnight in gero? Motel maybe?
Bear in mind that it is due to cross the coast very close to Kalbarri between Sunday lunchtime and monday early morning, so wherever you stay, you will want an ocean view!

Cyclone brewing
There's a cyclone brewing off Broome.
whether or not it hits wa coastline is a guess at the moment.
it will suck in some weather as it intensifies, causing us some big winds as we're seeing now.
im in shark bay at the moment.
not too bad today, but getting worse as the week progresses.
