Anchor and burley west side
Anchor and burley west side inside the reef in front of the big gaps in the reef, great fun with lots of spangled emporer, golden trevally etc. don’t need to be deep, had crazy sessions there in 2.5m’s of water. Don’t anchor too close to the reef tho coz they go extra hard when that shallow!

Get up to VLF bay that's where Ningaloo charters takes clients when it blows up and burley, big queenies and trev's will come up.just be careful if it's a southly and incoming tide you'll get 3 mtr standing up waves all the way up till the Navy jetty.

I just go fishing. Had a week there chasing bills in November where I fished every day and didn’t get onto the plane once.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Depending on wind direction,
Depending on wind direction, pretty much always got a place to fish if it’s blowing, except for a straight northerly (bite usually shuts down anyway) ..
Just stay in close to get a bit of protection.. if it’s Westerlies head into the gulf, Southerlies head around the tip or if easterlies Head out from tantabiddi and drift the weed beds inside the reef for spango’s, Trev’s etc
bay of rest is another option too.
usually there’s a window to get out, being on the water when it’s blowing gives you more time once the wind changes and you can head out deeper!

Some good advice here.
Some good advice here. Northerlies are the killer. I spent a week there years ago and it howled from the north every bloody day! We trolled south from Tantabiddi one day which was fine until we had to smash back into it. There was nowhere to take the boat to escape that wind. Besides eating and drinking a lot (well more than uasual) we flicked lures around Wapet Creek and Bay of Rest.
