Expensive chewing

Heard yesterday that the pros are getting $90 a kg for big crays and $75 for just size ones due to shortages and growing demand in China.

Makes you think twice on what it would cost you if you had to buy a feed instead of being able to catch your own when the season is open

Not just the tail and they are extremely demanding, no visual damage to the carapace, clean and barnacle free and every leg must be intact but hell at that sort of return it is worth our pro's going the extra mile to ensure quality

kudos to the guys who took a risk holding quota back. This time of year is where previously only NZ was providing crays, Mexico, SA etc were all closed.
