Some nice reds , goldband and a good long nose. Nothing epic but good times anyway
theres only 2 hooks on this rig but the pickers were that hungry they were tangling themselves

Good effort
Well done
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

Did you have much trouble with
Did you experience trouble with the sharks up there. A lot of exy reports are complaining about the trouble getting fish into the boat because of the high numbers of sharks taking the hook ups.

Sharks
Hey Megladon, yep sharks were a big problem. Made a point of not using fresh fillet baits and just squid and occy but didnt seem to help. You could get the first 1 or 2 in then the sharks would move in. We would move and the process would repeat. Loss ratio of about 1 in to 4 lost i recon. Same happened trolling for mackies or bottom banging. Having said that we still managed to get some nice fish but had to skull drag them which took alot of the fun out of it. Also broke a brand new rod and reel on the grey suits, not surprising consiering the size of some of the ones we saw, including a 4mtr great white that did a few laps around the boat. Still love exy but there is no doubt that the sharks and the wind can be very frustrating.

Hi Gav- I hear what you're
Hi Gav- I hear what you're saying about the sharks and wind. We were up there in June as well and couldn't get the fish past the sharks even if we did skull drag them up! Was the great white north or south of Tantas? The reason I ask is because I was free diving off Helby Bank in 30m whilst chumming up the water for macks!! Haha!! Saw no macks or massive sharks but the reefies and bronzies came in thick numbers.
Do the right thing and there will be fish tomorrow.

southwest
south west of tants mate. Got a good look at him and was definitely a white. Was very surprised to see a white with the water temp. The size and number of sharks around the bait balls was out of control.
