Try the search in the side menu,
Try the search in the side menu, its fine.
They put them in the same place every year, so that they don't have to update the charts.

Fads
They are all close enough to the marks on your plotter to find if you go out.
Just remember the mooring ropes are really long so they swing around a fair bit so it sometimes takes a little looking to find them.

thats all i was pointing out
thats all i was pointing out tim, if you go out an no one is there, weathers a bit rough fads have moved/dragged as they do can be a bit off the plotter mark and can be easily missed especially when they do get taken out by ships on occasion and theres no point driving around for 30 mins looking for something thats not there.

fill the live well with a dozen herring mate, will optimise your chances if the buggers are being fussy. Its also funny to watch em swin back to the boat at warp speed with a pack of dollys shouldering each other to nail him.

managed a speciman around the 12kg mark a few years back in exxy and i thought that was a monster, and yeah a bellyflap from a stripey with a pink squid skipping out back did the damage.

fads
went to the furuno fad a couple of weeks ago and noted we were well south of the mark on the navionics card. card is less than 12 months old.
when i say well south i wouldnt have found it if not for being with another boat that knew what they were looking for.
for a first trip to the fads i only have story of a a dolphin fish that likes to spit hooks then proceed to jump clear of the water to show off what could have been.

the southern fads
are of there marks by upto a mile this is probably due to the strong northerly current! apparently the northern fads are fairly close
