Plan to go out to the FADs for the first time on Sunday (so far weather looks ok). Anyone who has been out there lately have any tips on what to use Lures, bait etc. Plan to catch our first dolphin fish. Can you see them if they are there ? Do I trawl or drift and cast ? any advise would be appreciated.
Cheers

If there is no one up at the FAD, just head up to it and look down. You are looking for blue flashes in the water. If the wind is down like indicated on seabreeze at the moment, look for them breaking the surface. They like to play this game of shooting up but only just causing a ripple and heading back down. You usually wont see big splashes unless the place is full of bait fish on the surface.
Bait or lures depends on what the crowd at the FAD is doing. If they are all trolling, it would not be nice to start a drift which will likely take you thru the path they were originally on.
Mullies and squid worked well for me and one of my home tied flies.
When you chum go slow.

Thanks for the advise men.
Thanks for the advise men. If we do as well as you did Alfred I will be stoked. Thanks Sam but the boats loaded at the moment will let you know if the brother pulls the pin but he is keener than me at this stage.
