School of 10-12 very large dollies at rfw5 last week, very flighty even with the live baits, managed 2 bites but pulled hook on both fish. Very frustrating having the school swim laps of the boat for an hour and a half.
Consolation was coming across a school of yellowfin tuna while travelling between 2 fads
davewillo , herring great live bait, Have never tried yellowtail, but I'm sure they wouldn't last too long out there, especially if the dollies are in the mood
Work great. We use to stop under causeway early hours in morn . Catch a heap put them in plastic bin zippy tied hose to ladder angled forward overflow pipe pipe running out back of boat . Works mint while driving out there never lost any live baits .

Was at Complete Angler fad
Was at Complete Angler fad on Saturday. They would look at our live baits but wouldn't hit. Jumped in water and shot them.

Are you guys using herring
Are you guys using herring for livies? I've always thought yellowtail would make great livies but haven't found a spot to catch them.

Sounds like I'll have to
Sounds like I'll have to find where to catch yellowtail. I've used herring in the past but always thought yakkas would be great.

Always used herring because
Always used herring because by the time you find enough yellowtail in the metro area the Seabreeze is in lol.
I think even sand whiting would be a goer on those tougher days, more of an easy picking snack compared to a herring

That's why I was thinking
That's why I was thinking yellowtail Beau. Like little lollies! Sand whiting are a good idea and much easier to find.

I've found the whiting don't
I've found the whiting don't survive that well unless you can get them in very shallow water.
