So I bought the new gliss 6kg/14lb line upon snagging a few times during its first few uses I found it to break quite easily to what felt like 6lb so took it home and tested on scales and found it to break at 7lb this is using there recommended uni knot. Still landed some nice tailor though. Casts great as 7lb braid would lucky it's spooled on my new light mgx20 reel which wasn't intended for heavy line

Was it breaking randomly in the line or at the knot? Have heard it can be very hard to tie decent knots in it.

You have to test it without
You have to test it without the reduction in strength caused by a knot.
Wrap it around something like a broom handle enough times that it doesn't slip - then you can rule out the knot.

sometimes it's easier to have
sometimes it's easier to have a chat with whoever you bought it off and quite often things can be sorted out easily.
Sometimes things break/don't live up to expectations.... (not necessarily false advertising)
most places would give you a refund I would expect.

There's a heap written about
There's a heap written about this stuff on tackle tour forum, seems the connection knots have a fair bit to do with the breaking strain and the suggested knots on the packets don't cut it, also wash that revo well and keep an eye out for corrosion around the side plate screws, she's got a magnesium based alloy gearbox.
