Fat day on the water
Headed out early to a spot I have in the mid 30's and not even a bite for an hour and a half easy, started to think it was going to be a long day.
Had another mark about a mile away and thought would give that a crack, The drift was all over the show and was taking us north off the area i had pinged, well it was a blessing in disguise as the sounder lit up with big flares and my mate was on with a good fish. First Dhuie up a cracker, dropped my bottom meat and within about a minute I was on with a just size Dhue so decided to release him as he was very healthy imo. Dropped the jig back down with mauled bait on and it was hit before it even made the bottom, another cracking Banger.
Decided to shift out into the 40's on the flat coral for Baldies, which paid dividends of filling out the bag with two Baldies and Pinkies.
Topped off with 7 good size crays the beers went down well that arvo.

We had a similar day Andy ,
We had a similar day Andy , except no baldies. Considering it was a low fish day on the solunar i was pleasantly surprised , picked up a nice dhu on the first drop which pissed off my deckie no end , he hadnt even got a line in the water lol. Gotta say i wasnt much for jigs but these bottom meats are killer. ive used one on 2 trips now and they have out fished everything else we have dropped to the bottom. Well done and tight lines bro.

Thanks mate, good to hear
Thanks mate, good to hear you are getting out and amongst them. Yeah there was some choice banter between the deckies as the fish were coming up as to who was more shit at catching fish lol.
It was just bloody good to be on the water.
