fav band/song
Submitted by Shane O on Fri, 2014-02-07 14:16
Spend all my time at work with music in the background, so got to thinking what is your favourite band/song of all time.
can't decide..
australian crawl - reckless
crowded house - better be home soon
ice house - great southern land
red gum - only nineteen
probably some others that will jog my memory but cant think of them right now, there are a few from the dirty danciong sound track. but i will cop shit for that...

Bloke bumps into Rolf Harris
Bloke bumps into Rolf Harris in the airport and calls out
"Hey Rolf I saw you doing Two Little Boys in 1975"
Rolf answers "F++k off that was Gary Glitter"
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

All sorts of stuff, can't
All sorts of stuff, can't name one but all mainly guitar driven stuff.
Grew up as a Dire Straits fan, mystified by Mark Knopfler's guitar sound which had me learning guitar from the time I was big enough to hold one.
Then came the hard rock / metal era of my teens...
Guns n' Roses, Skid Row, Metallica, Megadeth, Dokken, Cinderella.
instrumental Guitar Stuff : Satriani, Vai, Morse, Lynch, Storytime (mid 90's Perth Band) and more recently Petrucci (freak)
Now 40, and still playing and listening to it all but am loving KSE at the moment.
Sure get a few strange looks being 40, driving a Land Rover full of wife and 2 kids all singing / screaming along to KSE
Eg. This is my 5yr old ..... He really gets cranking from about the 30sec mark. Lol.

Illzila wasteland, best album I own. Love my oz hip hop, recommend downloading 'the water song' complete anti hippy track. With lines like 'why keep a tree breathing if we need wood'. Hilltops, the herd, downside, mantra, bliss+esso. Then there's the classics, ACDC!, creedence clear water, Hendrix, bob Dylan, nirvana, bob Marley.
