i might be worng, but dont with stauns, you get 4?

from what i read of the ferrets you only get one so you have to go around to each tyre?

if this is the case i know i sould spend the money on the stauns to get the convenience

No, You are not wrong, and the Stauns are a great Aussie invention, but they only go to one set pressure unless you re set them, if that suits you, that's great, I happen to know a fair bit about the Ferret also, eg you only need one trip around the vehicle and you can go to any pressure , anytime at the rate of a pound a second just by counting, eg 40 psi to 18 in 22 secs, hope this answers your question, cheers.

i hear what your saying but you still have to go around to each tyre and put the staun on and off so to me its no different just that the ferret is a hell of a lot quicker.

just my opinion.

like i said ive used both and i prefer the ferret over the stauns in price and speed.

cheers

I have both

Fri, 2009-12-11 23:22

I have had a set of 4 stauns for a few years and a single ferret deflator (Purchased just weeks ago directly from "the ferret"). 2 stauns are left set at the original 18psi setting and I have reset the other 2 at 12 psi if/when needed (make sure you loctite them after resetting tho). Tested the difference last weekend at Lancelin and here is my honest opinion....... If you have time and want a smoke or drink while deflating use the stauns (They are good, reasonably quick and accurate)..... If you are in a hurry and want to get on the move quick use the ferret just tell your missus to shutup while counting Sealed ).

I will utilise both dependant on the situation.

Cheers,

David

PS.... I have no affiliation with either staun or the ferret... The above is just my own opinion!!! And I am a content user of both.

Stauns for me

Sat, 2009-12-12 07:42

For 3 reasons:

1. I spent $80 to buy them so I am stuck with them

2. It gives me a chance to have a beer and a smoke

3. The dog gets to mark all his favourite spots.

Tongue out

Shits on the Staun's for speed.

If you can count you can use it.

I might even get a second one for the missus to use on the other side.  :-)

Have had a set of Stauns for years and never had a problem with them.Even using them 4-5+times a day for weeks on end when pro fishing carting salmon off the beaches around Dunsborough/Hamelin bay.All the pro utes have one or more sets in them
