A few recent Greenback Sessions
Submitted by Wazza79 on Tue, 2016-10-04 13:34
Have had a few trips up to Geraldton over the last few weeks and managed to get away early on the way home for a lure sesh on the greenbacks.
A few productive sessions transpired to keep me smilin too.
The week before last I had my gopro on me so was hoping to capture the odd hookup. I got a few!
This is a vid I put together for the Fishing WA Facebook Comp so check it out if a little beach lure session is up your alley!
Cheers

nice one
Great vid mate, some really nice tailor and great to see that quality fish can be caught off the beach without having a massive setup and all that hassle.

Yeah good doogs waz , we are leaving perth tomorrow for a quad, beach fishing couple
of days to the greenough area, we have been doing the spring time tailor fish up the mid west since the 1990,s
and it basicly fishes the same now as it did then ( for tailor) .
The solunar isnt on our side , but sometimes you just have to give it a go anyways.

Sounds like an epic adventure. Hopefully you's do well. I tried the Lucy's area a few times in the afternoons but the swell was against me and had no joy. Early mornings seemed to be firing around the beach/reef areas.
Have a great trip!

Nothing beats the old trusty halco twisty
Awesome video too! Was that a chest camera mount? Or head mount?

For sure!
Yep, after the session 2 weeks earlier seeing what the tailor were feeding on I thought I'd tie on the 30g twisties to kick off the sesh. Yep, chest mount. Seems to capture a pretty good angle.
Cheers!
