Kill em all I say lol. But

Kill em all I say lol. But seriously I dont know what the big deal is with everyone worrying about killing sharks. They are in plague proportion everywhere I seem to go. As far as Im concearned there will never be an issue with over fishing sharks in Australia they really need to be culled in places like Exmouth. Try landing a decent Mackie without it getting sharked within 2 seconds of hookup. JMO

fresh dead bait can't hurt

Wed, 2012-02-15 11:37

fresh dead bait can't hurt and burley. Up here just hook a fish in 40m and it won't take long to hook a nice 5ft the bastards!

Sorry to be negative but why do people feel the need to ask every time if it was released/killed etc. Perhaps a trap for young players i guess and it may not hurt to put in your post if they released or you took it home for dinner or blugdeoned the shit outta it and left it to rot etc but why does every shark thread cop this, plain disrespectful to the angler and i'd be pissed if people are questioning what i did with a fish etc, same with rays. Posts like a few above even if you put it in a nice way discourage people posting thier trip reports because people have taken breeders out of the stocks, too many fish for one trip even though inside the limits etc. I look forward to the reports so i ecourage those who write them to keep doing it and this one was great with the pics as well but it dies up if we get negative.

Good catches mate you've done well, there's nothing better than that freight train peeling line off heading for Africa when you get those LB sharks, good work young fella just keep your jocks in your shorts i don't want to see them

Friends of Ammo Jetty

Wed, 2012-02-15 12:03

Do Agree Brucesta, not being negative at all. I'm sure you are aware of the Friends of Ammo Jetty threads around and the info contained in them. Hoping the message is being spread around that the issues & and problems are being looked into. I'm sure you would agree that education of all people and there obligations is a far better way to deal with these issues than having a ban enforced that affects everyone.

I enjoy taking my family for a fish and would like this place to be available to everyone. With no anti-social behaviour and our marine environment to be looked after. Some reports of recent have not been to favourable.

In no way is anyone accusing Antsey of any inappropriate actions. If anything it's good to see that our fish stocks are healthy and he has got time to send in a report to keep other Fisho's keen to send out a line to catch there own.

Wed, 2012-02-15 21:25

Yea exactly ^ not critisizing the angler, if anything its good to see people askin about release, because it shows people do care bout the marine environment, but nothing wrong with taking one or two every now and then, :)

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Thu, 2012-02-16 08:46

nothing wrong with a good feed of shark fella's thats for sure, i love it too i just make sure i'm using someone elses filleting knife. Can't say i've been to the Ammo Jetty as i'm a little way away but from what i've read yes it isn't good but it's not hard to find poor practices all over the state unfortunantly.

Hang in there fellas the sharks are always around i'm sure, perhaps a beach session instead to mix it up, wasn't someone saying Warnbro Sound has been chokka's with little reefies and the like lately?

looking at the photos again I think the pictures are all of the same shark. He just travelled around on his Zuma and posed for photos in different locations. In one he even painted stripes on it. HaHaHa just jokes. Well done.
