Hey guys, im new to the site, been reading for a while but never posted. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to what to use around the north or south mole. Ive been to both a good few times and had no luck other than very small herring, and lost loads of gear in the process! Any help would be appreciated, have no idea what rigs i should be using! Thanks

All depends on what your
All depends on what your targetting mate, the differene between targetting sharks and targetting mulloway is alot. If you could mention a species then im sure could help you out alot :)

you can catch anything off a mole
be prepared ...oh you mean off the groynes ...slam dunk one of those small herrings on a bigger set line ...checkout what others around you are using rig baits etc...always a risk losing rigs on the bottom

Sharks
Im keen to get into the sharks to be honest, i usually fish the sheds or narrows for the mulloway, and ive got my methods sussed out there, with limited sucess tho! Even some tailor from there would be nice i guess, just anything other than catching the rocks!

well i suggest for sharks
well i suggest for sharks using whole tailor or herring with a balloon rig set up and you should be able to get yourself a shark there has been a few landed there lately. balloons are only good if the wind permitts it to do so other wise just using a casting rig with sinker and some wire trace with same baits but always a chance that the rays will get to it first.
Using whole baits like herring or tailor will reduce the chances of rays by alot though and also make sure you have a long enough gaff there. but north mole lately is producing spanish macks, tuna, bonitto, sharks, mulloway if you choose the right time and your lucky
