at the monent there are heaps
at the monent there are heaps of spanish and shark macks down there. when ballooning ur normaly target sambos, kingys, sharks or blue grouper. the sharks range from makos, threshers, great whites and bronzies, bronzies being very common and makos and threshers not so much.

If you don't know albs, don't
If you don't know albs, don't fish the rocks. Find someone to fish with that knows the place well. You think your safe on some of those ledges but I've seen some biiiig rougues on small days. If you fall in at alot of these spots your probably not getting out. If you do choose to risk it go to trailblazers on the way into town and pick up a life jacket, take some rope and don't climb in to spots unless your a climber. Too many people lost down there and if it keeps happening they will begin shutting us out of some of the spots. Salmon holes and blowholes is being considered now. Also, you will never ever ever catch a groper under a balloon. And the Macks have already packed up for the year.

Long way to go for a shark
Long way to go for a shark but yes there are alot of big sharks. This time of year the salmon are moving through and there's always alot of noahs on em. Find a beach the salmon are on, flick for a salmon, put him on a hook and kayak or balloon him out if the winds are right. Gero will be a much better option if you want the species your after and alot less sketchy condition wise. 5.5m swell down in albs today!!! Good for tow ins that's about it :p good luck and stay safe.
