First Boat - Not the bargain first thought
Ok guys, I managed to talk my sister and her bf into going halves with me in a boat.
Found what we thought was a bargain, a 2009 Polycraft Warrior 5.3m Front Runner with a 2006 115hp Suzuki 4stroke (~140hrs per tacho) on a 2009 dunbier trailer. Drove down to Bunbury, checked it out. Two things that caught my eye was a quite large chip missing from the cavitation plate (bigger than a 50 cent piece) and the motor was not directly bolted to the transom, was bolted to an adapter which was bolted to the transom (looks like to suit a longer shaft motor).
Anyway, negotiated a good price subject to a test spin and test spin went well (other than wet). Unfortuantely due to the conditions, me not knowing the recommended rev range and the GPS being set to km/h I didnt notice at the time that it appears to be substantially under propped. (First trip out it was doing ~6200rpm at WOT for ~28knts, max should be 6,000rpm).
Now just had a call from the mobile mechanic who is doing a service on it and who thinks it has seriously hit some reef. The skeg is slightly bent and on closer inspection can see evidence of repair/welding and the propellor shaft is bent $$. Looks like the previous owner has repaired the skeg and stuck on a replacement prop (the wrong size).
Ohwell, welcome to boat ownership I suppose. Time to Bust Out Another Thousand.
Any ideas who can replace the propellor shaft? Mechanic reckons All Boats is the go being the Suzuki dealer.

Pretty sure most polycraft,
Pretty sure most polycraft, and poly boats in general have an adapter plate for the motor. Usually you bolt into SS and the SS bolts onto the poly.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

prop shaft
Any machine shop will be able to straight the prop. when the box is dissasembled to remove the shaft the mechanic will be able to see is there is any damage. Thow in some prop shaft seals and off you go. i get a quite a few straightened and have not had one back. had one done today, cost $75 300- 400 should see the shaft done with labour and seals.

Cheers guysWell sounds like
Cheers guys
Well sounds like best case scenario is ~$800-1,000 on the assumption nothing else is damaged, just a bent prop shaft
Looks like ~$600 for a new shaft, ~$300 for a new shaft from the US (thanks aaasnapper) or ~$130 for it to be repaired (xrayed and straightened). And then labour + seals etc on top of that

Just under $1k to fix including repairing the large chip missing from the cavitation plate
