First swan river mulloway

With the ban in place, I've been hitting the middle reaches of the river pretty hard and haven't had much success until this morning. Got a good run right on the coinciding moon rise and tide change and pulled a nice 13kg specimen. Stoked is an understatement! I can't post a pic but if anyone is interested the pic is on Facebook on the Swan River Mulloway page. Happy days :)

Like belly88 said - you never forget the first. Don't know where you were fishing but have you tried the point walter jetty for them. Its a good spot cause you can always catch little choppers for live bait by bait casting whitebait out under the jetty light. My first of several were caught there. Claim the front right corner early with 2 rods and throw your livies out there. Plenty of nice flounder on the bottom in the afternoon. We never got a run before 11-12 at night best time seemed to be around 1 - 4 in the morning. Havnt fished there for few summers now but sure it will still be good only problem lots of screaming kids swimming off jetty in afternoon so I used to claim the spot and wait for them to go

Thanks guys. Definitely a memorable moment. Between me and my mate, we had 4 lines out with 3 livies and one dead bait and it nailed the dead bait.
