Are any fello FW members able to identify this fish species? Was caught by a work colleague who just returned from their annual Gnaraloo trip came from 60 metres.

That was my initial thought...discoloured Rankin apparently came up that colour not the usual black with white spots and not sure but the head looks a bit different?

The head just doesn't look right for a rankin IMO unless it's been a long time at the montes.
I don't know just what it is but I just think the head shape is all wrong for a rankin.
