Bullseye
I think. Not normally caught on bait, but see thousands diving near caves.

Woodward's Pomfret
It look very much like a Bullseye, but this one is actually a Woodward's Pomfret Schuetta woodwardi.

Rough Bullseye - Pempheris klunzingeri
Rough Bullseye have a deep compressed body which varies from pink-brown to dark orange-brown and is covered in small ctenoid scales which are rough to touch. The leading edge of the dorsal fin and margins of the anal and caudal fins are black. There is an orange bar at the rear of the head. The lateral line is yellow or brown. The eye is very large and the mouth is large and obliquely angled.
Rough bullseye grow to 21 cms in length.
Rough Bullseye are endemic to Australia, being found from Shark Bay Western Australia, south around to eastern South Australia.
Adult Gobbleguts have a translucent brown body and a series of black spots along the lateral line. They have two separate dorsal fins.
Gobbleguts grow to 40 grams and 12cms in length.
They are abundant and are found from Albany Western Australia, north around the Northern Territory and to southern Queensland, in weedy areas in inshore reefs and estuaries.

I have caught one similar to this, I think that everyones guess was bullseye or baby buff bream. I will post pic for comparison when I get home

What would we do if you didnt solve
some off these problems.
Glenn when we scuba (in my younger years) is this what we see schooling around underwater caves etc, or are they mostly the true Bulls eyes?

It depends where you were
It depends where you were diving. Could have been bullseyes. Could have been pomfrets. Could have been both.
Within the caves, its probably more likley to be rough bullseyes, but on the reefs it can be both.
