looks like a long one but I remember when I used to work on a shark boat one time a few years ago these things would come up in plague proportions and this would b the average size they grow quite abit bigger good for berleying up other fish. like gav said fit for cat food or.motherlaw, unless you n her meet eye to eye. what bait u catch it on
where abouts is this station did u try surface lures around any nearby structure being that far north you would expect something els. at least he stretched your arms abit always good fights till u land it n ur like wtf come on!!! looks like decent weather up there was it warm enough
Can any one tell me what they are like for cray bait, they give a good account of themselves on light line and are fun to catch. Just wondering if they are of any use
Caught one at penguin island many years back same way. Float and mulie. I was told by an expert that they dont usually eat mulies but the mulie coming close to them was a theat and buff bream are very territorial and my buff bream attcked my mulie not to eat it but to kil it for getting close hahaha
Funny you should say that because the muley looked like it had been more attacked than tried to be eaten.Fish was hooked outside the mouth by a set of gangs.Apparently these fish feed mainly on seaweed and the like.
Catch a heap as Bi catch in Kalbarri floating a mulie over an inshore ree, its a shame about there taste cuz they are fat hard fighting fish, but as previously stated TERRIBLE! to eat.

Over east they catch
Over east they catch luderick and rate them on the plate and they eat seaweed too. Haven't tried either, but has anyone here eaten luderick?

Luderick are great eating fish, as long as you remove the black gut lining inside the cavity of the fish.
As you said, predominately weed eaters, but I used catch the odd one while targeting black drummer on cunje.
Pick it up, put it down....
