Anyone know what this is, initially thought it was a cobbler but not sure.
Was caught just out from Mindarie near the reefs. It was gut hooked and was bleeding badly so couldn't return it.

Beardie
I'd go with Beardie Lotella rhacina. The 'true' Bearded Cod doesn't get this far north and I can see some white edge to the anal fin. How was the taste?
