fish or not?

a few years back i was fishing just south of north mole next to the little boat shed and i remeber pulling in the blob thing it had slimey dark brown skin with non shark little spikes it also had a really small head with 2 little eyes and i remeber it squirting all the purple stuff all over the place anyone ever caught one?

Sounds like a sea squirt to me
Particularly the purple goo but only seen them further north ?

Similar to a nudibranch, same class, but different family.
Definiltley not a fish though. It's a mollusc.

That thing is what we call up north a Spanish Dancer.. (nic name)
As the way they swim, flapping their wings is very graceful like a dancer!!
I had no idea what their proper name was!!!! Cheers..

i looked up all your
i looked up all your sujestions and i cant seem to find anything that looks the same but from i i can realy remeber it was about the size of a softball but it was flat on the bottom and it had a head conected that was about a size of a ping pong ball but anyway thanks for the help!
