Fish warning tag?
Submitted by Goodz on Wed, 2009-08-05 18:28
After a little incident today I have decided fish should carry warning tags with "WARNING - CHOKING HAZARD" on them...
My 1 year old daughter was crawling in the backyard and found a large dhuie scale on the lawn and decided to eat it, getting it lodged in her throat and almost choking her! My wife jumped into action with a finger down the throat and made her throw up and dislodged the scale... luckkkkyyyyyyyyyy. Maybe I'll have to be a little more careful when cleaning fish outside... or maybe the dog should learn that fish scales are like chips and eat them all up for me!

My mum had a fish bone
My mum had a fish bone caught in her lower intestine which resulted in an ER visit till 4 in the morning then a 6 OClock start. Remove as many bones as you can and be sure its chewed up properly before swallowing. It will save 10 people looking at your bum till early hours of the morning deciding which way theyll go in.
Having a fish bone stuck in your instestine is no laughing matter when your in the kneeling position in pain on a hospital bed.

My son used to suck on the odd dhuey scale found around the front yard. Only medical risk associated with that was the hiding I got from his mother for leaving them lying around the yard.
