Hi guys
Im considering booking a trip out with Bluejuice on Sunday 17th Sept. I need 11 other ppl including myself. Its the usual charter trip with alveys provided and out deep (100m+). No jigging gear provided so its BYO. Cost is $1750 for 12 ppl.

I'd love to but I'm afraid its the only day in the whole year I get breakfast in bed made by my two beautiful daughters. That's why I'm going fishing on Saturday instead. (Hehe)

Yes, maybe after say 10-00am I could excuse myself and disappear for a few hours (hope they don;t see the boat missing) and return to watch the footy in the arvo. (Perfect day.)
Fathers day is more for the kids not the Dad, you will learn that one day when you start a family of your own.
If Big John's online, I'm sure he will back me up on that one, I think we both have daughters of a similar age. They probably look forward to fathers day more than we do.
Hmmmm. more tackle coming my way. Maybe I am getting a little excited afterall.

Great idea, but if the missus breaks wind as well, that will blow your cover for sure...its taken me 15 years to withstand that and not gagg, you would have no chance. LOL
Now after all these distractions, back to the original thread objective of finding Honsu a fishing buddy or two.

Yeah I agree with you Andy, the kids get pretty pumped up about the day.

High gear ratio reels not really suitable for jigging......well some ppl can but I rather not, doesnt help with a snapped handle as well. KC...wasnt your stella high geared and not really comfortable to use??

Final cost is $145 per person, Byo snacks and light drinks. Boat got sausage sizzle and some drinks. We're leaving from AQWA landings in Hillarys boat harbour at 6.30am so be there atleast 15min prior. only one left to confirm. I'll call her later.

what are you guys planning
what are you guys planning on doing most of jigging/bouncing,bit of both? i'm considering taking the noodle stick out for a workout jigging,may take awhile to get something up though.

Matty its straight out to the 100m+ areas for jigging, you can bottom bounce in the same area but yeah.....15kg minimum and you must be able to go hard to get them up so the next lot can have a go. I'm taking 4 outfits out, if anyone got a reel loaded with 80lb braid can use my JigMaster spin stick.

I REALLY wouldn't advise it
I REALLY wouldn't advise it matty. If you hook up to something decent, it means everyone else will have to sit and wait ages and watch you do it. It happened last year when I was out, some muppet (no offence, but it was truly stupid) decided, oh, I'll get my bragging rights and jig with 12lb and try and land a 25kg sambo in 100m of water. We all had to sit and wait and watch him fight the stupid fish for a good 15-20minutes, and lift it up (more like winding it slack line as it floated up) while the boat was drifing off, so the rest of us couldnt fish (as we were off the school), and I think a couple were going to cut off his line, when he FINALLY got it up. A sambo deep down with minimal reef structure? I dunno.. I just didn't appreciate the idea.No offence to you of course, it was just my thoughts at the time. Especially when they were on a 'hotbite' and Blue Juice was crammed with people, as they will be worse with, come this season.
I'll jig as much, and for as long as I can, until the people who are cheating start to really annoy me by hauling in fish aftr fish after fish. That isn't just skippy. =)

no offence taken kasey....i dont know what everyones up to,if we are fishing in the 25/30's to start with i'd use it,the noodle stick being a 10kg outfit.if we are out to the 100's its only the 37kg stick for me.
