Fishwrecked Invitational Point System

To all those coming to the Fishwrecked.com Mindarie Chrissie Invitational next Saturday the 9th, here is the go:

3 Sections to WIN:
Catch and Release - Based upon photography of a caught and released fish
Mystery Prize - A fish voted by the group that deserves to win
Points System :
The points system will be based upon these species:
Dhufish : 3-20kg
Pink Snapper : 2-9kg
Queen Snapper : 2-6.5kg
Baldchin : 2-5.5kg
Breaksea : .500g-2kg
Harlequin : .500g-2kg
Leatherjacket: .500g-4kg
King George : .500g-2.5kg
Sand Whiting : .300g-1.3kg
Red Snapper : .200g-1kg
Flathead : .500g-3kg
Tuna - Blue : 2kg-9kg
Tuna - Yellow : 3kg-30kg
Skippy - 500g-5kg

The maximum weight of each species will attract 500 points. The aim is to catch as many different species as possible and not just target one species. I'll let Andy explain how it will work. If you think any of those weights should change then please let me know. If anyone's got good digital scales could they please bring them along.

There will be 3 trophies which I went and ordered today. 1 small one for the c&r photography section, 1 for the mystery prize and a solid trophy for the best points fisho and all are engraved as : Fishwrecked.com Invitational Winner. These came to $36, so we need 18 people, anything over that goes to beer! We aren't fishing for sheep stations and its all in good fun, just a bit of incentive for your fishing day out. :)

Cheers,
Adam

maybe just make it an all

maybe just make it an all tackle comp rather than confuse things by having line classes etc. etc.

Line Class

Fri, 2006-12-01 21:31

Yep, I'm thinking line class will make it just too difficult. I'm thinking even the points will be difficult.. I'm sure we'll work it out so theres a deserved winner. I will print out a few copies and take them along next Sat.

Something like that

Sat, 2006-12-02 19:41

Yeh, something like that, or a big fish that isnt on the list or doesn't win the points prize. When we all have a look at whats been caught I'm sure something will stick out that we will all go, yep, he deserves the mystery prize. :)
