Great vid

Fri, 2017-01-06 14:10

Thanks for posting a great bit of video, you can always learn things from watching what other people do I say, and this video confirmed that and I'm not a diver.

Lesson 1 How to blind your diving buddy, let go a great amount of air when you are directly below him.

Question 1 what is the thing hanging of the piece of tube from the tanks with a gauge on the end of it.

Statement 1 It's good to see that I'm not the only one who sticks their head in a cave to see what is in there with the same result, (although I was a 10 yr old kid when I did it)result, the ugliest creature with the meanest disposition in the sea attacks your face mask. Bloody cuttle fish I still get shivers down my spine when I recall the encounter I had with one of those nasty pieces of work whilst diving at north Cottesloe. My be that's why I gay up diving at 14.

There is usually two gauges, one tells you how much air you have left in the tank and the other telling you the depth of water your in.

Most these days though have it connected to a dive computer which tells you those two things as well as a heap of other information.

Errm...so you "Gay up" at 14 ...lol

There are two things that will be hanging, one is a spare regulator which is mostly there for your buddy to latch on to if he runs out of air and the other one is a compass and guages for depth and how much air you have in the tank. That him that is copping the bubbles is my missus.

Cheers mate, I always wondered what the light would be like at that depth. I used to dive a lot but deepest I ever did was 25m, average around 10-12m, mostly up at Leeman in the early 90's.

Great Footage Crano
The PJs always love to layup on the plate coral.
Lots of bait holding up there as well.
We have a few spots that hold big bait schools and it always draws a fishy crowd!
Cheers for sharing.

It is a groper but is green. always see it there along with the stingray. I like how the stingray crashes into the reef.

Fun Dive or ready for a spear??
Didn't see any offensive weapons on either.
I would have had a go at those crays for sure.
When I used to dive never could get myself to use the straight hook - for some reason I thought it was not fair on them.
Just love cuddlefish - always appear to "I want to know whats going on here"
