fitzroy river in april

 was looking to fish the fitzroy in april but having second thoughts due to flooding

im not keen on a lot of bashing through muddy boggy tracks 

thoughts anyone?

 Reckon would be too wet in April especially as the wet hasn't finished yet,also there'd be some saltys far from there usual abode

 all about timing with the river flow and change of colour/water temps, we will be there late april, just use your brains with relation to crocs and you will both survive.

Yep, all about timing, prime time can coincide with shit conditions one year but fine the next. If you need to travel long distances that require planning you may er on the side of caution as its a long way to travel. Water levels drop quickly and conditions get better pretty quickly also but alot of the tracks soke that water up and can be a bloody nightmare, especially for the 2nd vehicle if you have torn the track up.
Saying that though, some of the best fishing trips and multiple metery's caught were in Darwin during the wet that featured multiple boggings, snatches, buried cars and trailers, torn off mudguards, overheated cars, geeez, some of the fondest memories I have lol
