New reel mate
It's a new reel Mate
I broke one, tried
Epoxy, didn't last long
drilled hole in and added 2 plates (like a splice), didn't work
tried inserting each end into a small tube, NANA

Hi,
if its a half decent reel you can buy a new body and swap all of the parts over. It is often cheaper than buying a new reel. Generally it is called a body. You can look up the specs of the reel online, check the schematics and get your part number whilst you are at it. Then it is just a matter of hitting up your local tackle store.

repair
I did this, I dropped my emblem pro on the concrete in the garage and it snapped part of the reel seat off. So I got the part ordered by my local tackle store and swapped it out for the new one. It was a bit of work with the way that reel is designed but well worth it and the part was pretty cheap

Basically you can
BUT it is never going to work. The stem off the body is pretty much designed to withold the Rating off the reel. To strong increase weight to much, throws the balance off etc. Depending on the material etc it can be welded etc, but it never is the same and I wouldnt ever bother. Check warrantee, especially with $$$reels.
As mentioned get a replacement body, otherwise get a new reel. If it was a good one, get the exact same and you have spare parts, spare spool etc. If it wasnt a good one dont get it again, because obviously thats a flawed design.
