Sorry to hear that Simo
As I suggested earlier, they should be caught and taken to Port Moresby jail and put in a cell with the Aids infected Rascals or made to drive up and down the road between Lae Airport and the town centre in the back of a pickup truck.
These dickheads ruin things for everyone.

Simmo, really sorry to hear that, sure makes you angry doesn't it! Did they get anything? Had that happen to me once when I lived in Jolimont and agin in North Perth - makes your blood boil for sure! In Jolimont they tried to pinch my stereo but hadn't counted on the five extra concele bolted brackets that I put in.
Geez Colin, PM's gonna get a tad crowded

That is one of the worst things
They stuff up your locks or your windows and it is a hassle and costly to fix.
Colin, overcrowding won't be a problem. They won't last long.

LOL!!
I can just see it, 30 guys hiding in a big circle in the sand dunes, waiting, waiting.
Few months ago we had a car broken into. Was pretty funny. Figured this out from what was left behind.
Broke a back window with fist and managed to cut themselves. Left blood soaked T-shirt on back seat.
Into front of car and proceeded to try to start, immobilizer must've stuffed them so went thro the car, half got the music machine out and stopped to roll one up, forgot why they were there and buggered off, leaving the dregs and papers on the dash and bag of heads on the floor of the car. Wankers!!
I do whatever the little voices tell me to do

Sorry to hear about your car
Sorry to hear about your car mate. Those bastards should be shot on sight. Maybe you could hook the booby trap car up to 240v then stand back and watch them touch it.
Where are all these break-ins happening? One particular area or everywhere?

Only way is to start doing
Only way is to start doing something about it ourselves.
The crims know that if they bust into 10 or more cars they get enough stuff to flog off for drugs etc.
They know chances of police coming strait away when called are nill and even if police do come the police dont put any effort into finding who it is.
If they do get caught by fluke then they get a small fine and go strait back to breaking into cars again.
I say baseball bat them and start busting some heads!
If the police dont help then its up to us to take the law into our own hands

Yup Simmo
Yup definately. When I was in EVP, the crime rate (break ins and car stuff) always increased when holidays were on. One of the benefits of living down in Barker, there's very little of that. Mind you, Albany has it's problems.
As we know, it comes down to two issues:
1) Instillment of values and discipline at home.
2) Inadequate laws/justice system. (But don't blame the cops - they just administer the law - they're as frustrated as anyone - believe me!)
Maybe if the addresses of the judicial system and parliamentarians were known and they sufferred from these incidents thenthe second issue would change.

Sorry to hear that Simo. At least you're covered, but it's still frustrating and a pain in the ass. This area has it's problems that's for sure, I'm in Parmelia.
While fishing at the grain terminal on Sunday a fisho got his car broken into. Like Colin said, it makes your blood boil!!

I don't think its just this area mate my mates house was in port kennedy. His neighbour had someone in there back garden the night before his car got broken into. Its pretty sad when you cant even leave a car out the front of your house in the driveway. Then there's the pricks who are trying to nick kids in the middle of the day at a playground urrgh.

Hi Ya,
Precisely why I don't fish at night or early mornings. A year or two ago had my car broken into twice in 36 hours for a total loss of one pair of shorts. Second time was a morning. Actually got to see he guy on the second occasion but wasn't close enought o grab him. Got the rego on the car. Phoned it through to the police and they said the car had been reported stolen the night before. Haven't fished the coast in Perth much since.
Cheers.

Wife was in Freo today
Wife was in Freo today parked in the carpark near Macca's in fishing boat harbour and someone smashed the window and stole the GPS.
Broad daylight, people everwhere with the boat show across the road and still did at least 4 other cars in the carpark according to the missus.

i had an incedent a few months ago where not only did the guy threaten to come shoot our horses but us as well... called 000 and was told on the way, took me under 10 minutes to get home to find not only no one shooting the horses but no cops either..... waited for 10 minutes before i got a call from the cops to say they were round the corner and waiting for back up... my question to them was if this guy turns up in the mean time do i take matters into my own hands??? still took em another 20 minutes to turn up.... morale of the story???? dont bother ringing the cops, just wasting your time....... but comes round go's round......

The thieves even look for the marks on the glass where the GPS sticks to. Thats good enough for them to smash window and go searching through the car looking :(

My own driveway
Had the similar incident a few months back out the front of home, i heard nothing. I woke up and found some jerk had smashed my rear passenger window.Ironically they stole around $2000 worth of security alarms off of my back seat.Forensics came around suprisingly as another 5 or so cars had been done in the area(East Wanneroo) but the bastards had gloves on so the only prints on the car were from gloves.Insurance covered the window but only up to $600 for loose items in the car.Maybe a 40 cal will be waiting for them next time:)

Hi Ya,
On one of my previous csrs I had a switch in the boot that connected the interior light to the horn when the switch was on. Always switched it on at night when the car was in the carport. Car had dual horns each with a different note. They were not airs but very loud.
Anyway, one mornng about 2 am, the horns went off. Would have loved to have sen the guy. Would have crapped himself. While I suffered a broken 1/4 window, Laughed myself silly thinking about how the guy would have reacted.
Cheers.

I'm not scared of
I used to have a set up similar that worked off a switch and when selected, the horn etc would go off when a door was opened up. Just rig a wire from the interior light switch to the hidden switch and then onto the horn.
Easy as.
Cheers

Hi Ya,
Yep. And even easier when you have two brothers-in-law whoa re auto electricians.
The other thing they did for me was rejig the cig lighter so that it had to be pressed in to start the motor. If it was in the normal position, the motor would turn over until the battery was flat. Basically it earthed the coil so no power flowed to the dizzy. Used a relay of some sort to do it. Did mean that the cig lighter was no good for anything eelse but not being a smoker that didn't worry me and it was a good 'kill switch'. If you were driving along the road and pulled out the cig lighter the motor stopped immediately.
Cheers.
