Flathead Tips?

Going for flathead with a friend on the weekend for first time, any tips on what line, rig etc to use? I have a Sedona 3000, hoping that will be a good combo option

I use 6 pound with a 10
I use 6 pound with a 10 pound leader. I use such a heavy leader for when you get the bigger models, they can rub through light leader.
I mostly use soft plastics for flathead, squidgy flick baits with a slow jerky retrieve like a prawn skipping along the bottom. I have also caught plenty on hardbodies bounced along the bottom.

Yea chocs spot on with the
Yea chocs spot on with the above comment, just focus on the drop offs, weed/rock edges and wherever there is bait. Move around till you get one then pepper the area with casts. Where there is one you'll more than likely find a few more. Good luck
