LBG overhead rod suggestions please?

Can anyone please suggest a good overhead LBG fishing rod for me? Something that will be suitable for fishing at Quobba and also for chasing small to med metro sharks off the beach. I will be using it for balooning and also beach casting.

  • I am probably looking for something 15-24Kg
  • Will be matched with a Shimano Tyrnos 30-2 reel
  • Something with a bit of length (8 foot+) to get up and over the rocks/swell...
  • 2 piece would be ideal
  • I do like Shimano stuff but would consider any brand
  • Looking to spend around $200-250

Thanks in advance,

Mark

The rod I have for LBG is a Live Fibre RLF14. It's 8 foot and it a superb rod to fish with. I have a tyrnos 30-2 on it and it's an awesome combo. Should be right in your budget as well.

I have a Live Fibre rod bit longer than Howa Hunters with a tyrnos 30. Performed well up at Quobba and landed a 35LB macky.
