Flip Video Camera Mount

I don't know about most people on here, but I usually go fishing with the intention of catching some decent fish and maybe getting some good footage on the video camera while I'm out there;

BUT

Usually one thing leads to another however and I never end up getting any footage. Usually I get caught up in the fishing fever and realise to late that that fish/fight/stuff up would have been good on video.

So to hopefully make getting some footage easier, particularly when trolling I decided to make up a mounting bracket for the flip video camera so its just a matter of turning it on in a fixed position to get some footage.

Seems to be quite rigid so hopefully the camera will be nice and steady. Mounting it up the front on top of the windscreen will allow me to capture most of the action that takes place on deck.

Hopefully have some good footage to upload to youtube after the April school holidays.

John

well 10 better actually...I have a cctv colour dome camera permanently mounted up front looking back with a cctv tube camera on a long cable and pole for underwater footage conected through an av switcher to a dvd recorder powered from an inverter mounted under the dash, that way i can record all day never miss anything and I can always pick up the handy cam if some one gets a big one,I also have a mic connceted under the rocket launcher, I just have to copy the bits I wnt to the pc then edit.

have only been messing with it upto now but were off to exmouth on monday till easter so hopefully will have some then. I used to use a vcr but the problem with that was you had to fast froward through hours of tape to ge to the interesting bits the it was a pain in the arse with changing tapes but this system works well...upto now! dvd recorder was $99 from good guys and the cameras...well Im in the buisness.

Sounds good

Sounds good.

Don't worry about too much bait mate, going to be a predominantly lure trip. Maybe just some scalies/occy to go with the gar.
