Floreat Drain

Hi Guys,
Went fishing at Floreat Drain this morning and something hit my mulie that I had soaking. Anyway, after some excitement, I reeled in this. Can anyone identify this for me, is it a Mulloway? Was completely stoked as it's my first decent fish that I have caught. I was jumping around and shouting 'Yeeesssssssss'......luckiliy was on my own :)
By the way, didn't have a tape measure with me but when I got home I measured my knife at 30cm. Fish was returned to the ocean.

Yup, that's a nice little mulloway, about 70cm I would guess if your knife is 30cm. Congratulations, great way to kick off your beach fishing career.
Just because I smile & nod does not mean I believe the crap coming out of your mouth.

Cool as, well done, as said, good on you for the release, but more so on the capture. Not a frequently caught fish by anglers so congrats, beaut first 'decent' fish, you could contribute to this now.... http://fishwrecked.com/forum/whats-fish-hooked-you
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Same spot I got my first decent tailor 20 odd years ago on the advice of the sandgroper's guide. Not really comparable to that fish though
