Sunday

The weather man got it spot on for once and Sunday out of Two Rocks was some of the best conditions we've had for awhile. We had a pretty slow start and only managed a couple of small dhuies before deciding to move out a little further. Proved to be a good move and first drift both my mates hooked up resulting in a nice baldy and then 10mins later a fat chunk of a dhuie. Was quite strange with f*!k all wind on the surface but the current taking our baits quite quickly on the bottom and making it hard to hold bottom. Ended up drifting between 1 and 2 knots while out wide. Managed a couple of blackarse to add to the esky before heading in to join the que to get out of the water. Dhuie went 94cm but was super fat and made an otherwise quiet day. Anyone else find it a bit quiet out there yesterday?

That fat dhu makes up for the quiet day , wasn't a overly impressive scoreboard for us but we got a feed yesterday .. even though the winds were down ..we had regular big swell sets  come through out of cockburn whereas it was supposed to be 1.4m .. well done good catch .

Perfect day...but

Mon, 2013-06-17 20:07

Hard work, good soundings out in the 60's but slow on the bite.

We moved back into the 40's for the minor feed time and had a hectic 30 mins, small Dhus, break sea, pinky and size red throat...managed one reasonable baldie to 46 and that was our lot.

Out of mindarie NW. A few whales and there was some larger sets coming through later in the day.

It got to a stage where there was not drift and the bite shut down around 2 for us.

Stellar ride back in those conditions.

Cheers,

Jeff
