Certain times of the year
Certain times of the year there are hundreds of them jumping out of the water either side of Hedland channel. Can see them all sillouetted in the sunset.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

high jump
I have seen one jump as high as the flybridge helm on a pro fishing boat out of the Monties and saw heaps jumping high at trial rocks at the north end of the Monties, it is an awesome sight to see

Awesome shot, seen them jump
Awesome shot, seen them jump really high literally launching vertical out of the water at top speed. Seen it heaps of times up north twice since moving back down to Lancelin. Once at back beach one came out of a wave at the near shore and went a good distance up. Another out in the boat was spectacular mack about 10m up and a school of flying fish wings shimmering in the sun, that would have made a sensational picture.

Finished up with 9 on the deck by morning while anchored up at the Glomar shoals north of Dampier. All lights on and heaps of small fish around the boat , mackies used to spearing out from underneath the baitfish and landing back in the water get a rude surprise when they hit the deck. Best one went about 14-15kg.
Also used to hang lures out the back while anchored with the tide running at 2-4 knots and catching them one after another. Made up fpr setting 500 shark hooks in a line down the east side of the shoals and only getting 270 back, busted up by big tigers and the tide, learn quickly not to go there on spring tides
