Hi wondering if there is any Fishwrecked members that regas chest freezers.
My freezer only has ice half way up the sides and if I put anything above the ice level it doesn't freeze.
I am located SOR if anyone can help.

Ice on the sides of a freezer makes it less efficient. Try defrosting it.

Re Gas
Fridgies are not allowed to re gas units without first checking them over for leaks etc to find where and why the original gas has escaped from. Then they have to fix the leak before sticking more gas in, by the time this takes plus a call out fee it would be cheaper to buy a new one and have a guarantee.
Defrost it as Alfred says then make a decision, if its the same as before then its off the the dump ,dump ,dump with it.

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Don''t know what it costs to go to the dump down there but can see why so many do exactly that.
