Friday away with leave pass for Saturday

Well after working all last weekned and the weather finally looking F#^%#ing sensational I'm taking Friday off. So head up the coast Thursday night with an early morning launch on Friday. Originally had to race home Friday arvo as we have guests coming over (missus friends) and I was going to have to cook. The missus has taken a nice approach and given me a leave pass so I can stay up and head out again Sat morning yewwwwww. Here's hoping a good report coming.

Good luck fellas, I know a few more of you will be punching out.

No such thing happens here, she is the deckie and would kill me if I went without her.
Probably a keener angler than me.
Helps to have a keen deckie/partner/best friend on board!!

Similar thinking here mate, We'll troll out the 4 mile reef and then head straight for the 40's. When the wind drops maybe even direction bank but that's 30km for us as the crow flies. But Not many get out there so it's worth a shot on a good day.

Result

Fri, 2018-02-02 20:18

Been struggling a bit lately with finding fish but got a result today. 10am launch, tried few spots to get 2 blackarse in the esky, headed out for a look at the pgfc fad. No birds or fish to be found. Back into shallower ground for a pink and a baldy for us both to hit the demersal limit. Decky hooked up again and had to release a size pink.

Fri, 2018-02-02 21:11

We ended with 2 x baldie..BA and a harlequin all on jig...1 x southern blue...which was hooked within 2min of putting lures out after seeing birds...all fish before 2pm..nothing after that, the major bite time did not happen for us.. Once that wind turned the bite turned off.

Endless undersize dhues....recon we caught at least 6 scorpion fish on jig...1 done a good back flip nailing me good with 3 spikes...which madd ne drop the good long nose pliers...not mine...lol...o yeah!!!

To top it off moving between spots...somehow lost 300m of 60lb goosen of the torum 16hg...plus jig and brand new assist which were all inboard...fuck knows were it went...backing there but braid gone.
