Was just doing work on the boat and replacing a spark lead when I see a snapped wire.
I traced it back to one of the distributors. The wire has snapped right where it enters the distributor so i cant solder or crimp it
Needless to say im fairly fucking pissed off
I'll try to get a part before friday from a local contact in Perth
Just about talked the wife into getting a Suzuki DF115 mmmmmmm

Not dead, I fixed that other problem with the choke solenoid and rebuilt the carbies & throttle body on sunday morning.
I had noticed a spark lead was damaged so I grabbed another one today to replace it, that's when I saw the snapped wire
I'm in Maddington, but it is Yellow =)

Jeez mate, you've been having a shocker of a run... There is one benefit to all your work though, you now know exactly what has been done to the motor. Plus there's nothing better than knowing the ins and outs of a motor IMO.
Really hope your luck changes and you manage some decent fish in your own tub!! It'll be so much sweeter when you do....

At 5pm it says around 19knots with 2.5m swell with wind dropping but not by a lot to around 15
It's still doable but it'd be uncomfortable and iffy once the sun goes down - especially as I'm inexperienced

The latest update doesn't have the winds dropping until about 8pm.
Probably make the judgement call on Friday lunch time updates

Agree it's looking a bit "iffy" at the moment. I'm leaving work around 2.00pm and if the forecast looks half decent will launch from Point Peron. Very keen for a fish, but if I don't get out Friday night, will probably drink too much to be out early Saturday lol.

Yep, I'm hoping tomorrow is the night to crack a cockburn sound Pinky! Just finished making a few rigs (damn those Owner hooks are sharp. Most of the blood is cleaned up now!) and all set. Will be launching from Point Peron or Palm Beach and hoping for a good night.

boated about 20 pinkies tonight. action started within 20 minutes of being there and went for over an hr. with no one aroundd. lots in the 45 to 75 cms range.. no monsters though. had an awsome night, weather was good in the end :) 5 litres round trip :)
