Good thread idea!

Years ago my friend put an ad in Quokka as a joke that read:

"Will swap one six pack of emu export cans for pack of winnie reds" and put another mates number at the bottom.

Sadly for us he turned his phone off after about call number 20.

one of my mates gave my number to a parent at school because of an issue he thought was funny.

so i put his huilux in the quokka a few weeks later (the day of his bday aswel) and the ad read:

2009 hilux bla bla bla had all the fruit on it....genuine sale bla bla bla and put the price about 10k under what everyone else was askin so obviously didnt seem to ridiculous but he would get inundated with calls....he got that many calls...learnt his lesson

we all have a good laugh about it...but definately worth the effort to put his car in the quokka..

We left a phone number for the workshop foreman to call about lubricants--------was a number for a male prostitute

Should have seen him going off on the phone trying to get his message across before he woke up to the prank.

Mr. G.Raffe

Wed, 2013-04-17 16:45

Got a bloke at work a few years ago to ring some one back who had called him. Mr. G.Raffe had called and left his contact number, which just happened to be the Perth zoo number. He rang and asked for mr G.Raffe, the zoo people thought he was mental. He made a long winded explanation of why he was ringing, they told him he had rung the zoo.

Pissed our selves for years after, still laugh thinking about it.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

I am a road man. You are probably not a road man, but, you wish you were. This bike is your ticket to two things: 1- Roads and 2- Being a man.

I ride this bike everyday. Not for fun or sport like the leather boys, but to hunt and kill food. I know for a fact that this bike will burn sand, jump bridges, kill devils (the Tasmanian kind) and forge rivers. The bike has ridden every part of the golden west from top to bottom. This bike won’t break. It’s half carbon fiber and half bad-ass.

The bike says R GSX on the side of it. I don’t know what that means - probably means it can kill an elephant. The bike is white and stripey, so pale blood won’t show on it. The tires have perfect tread so you can ride straight up a cliff. It has shocks on the front and the back for when you ride it off the cliff.

The bike has a chain that I use to kill taipans sometimes. It also has a seat. I don’t use it, but you probably will for the first few years until you build up the muscle. I also installed a shotgun holder on the bike that conveniently shapes as a pillion seat.

If you have questions about the bike – email me, or you know, use Google.

If you want to buy the bike, then I will take cash. I need to send some money to a very important man who emailed me from Nigeria so I need the cash quick.

Here are a couple pictures with more available upon request. All the covers are in good shape and the left looks just as good as the right.

Cheers
