I know of a few running in Aouth Africa, with very good results and feedback.
This is the solution for now to a diesel type out-board / stern drive hybrid.

70K an outboard is alot of $ to be hanging off the back of the boat.
Could still be cheaper than running twins on the right boat.

their market is the big 30foot plus monster running triples, that can now get the same bang for buck with twins, even a single one of these on a big 8m rib would be cheaper than twin V8 300 yammies
I'm more interested in those new Axis drives with the Nissan 300hp turbo diesels....nice!

these outboards are insane and look at the yanks doubling them up so they can do in excess of 80 miles an hour! just plain crazy
