tld 50
For the cheaper option the tld50 is worth while, never missed a beat for me. (touch wood) But seeing as your a big spender, probably as mako has said or the ol trusty tiagra's are always worthy of a look in.

Penn 30vsw for me too, awesome 2 speed.
For that size line though, I have a mate selling a almost brand new Penn 2 speed reel that might do the job nicely!
A Penn 16s, give us a pm if your keen.

For my trip up here I'm
For my trip up here I'm running a TLD50 (24kg)and two TLD 25's (15kg). If I could do it again have two TLD50's with either 24kg on both or put 15kg on the other one for the extra line capacity. I'd then get a Tyrnos 30 or 50 2 speed as my other 15kg outfit. Adam runs a TLD50 as a 15kg outfit and knowing you've got a lot of line if needed is reassuring.
The TLD25's have nailed a lot of billfish but when the big one jumps on I don't think the line capacity (500m 15kg) is there to give me time to clear the spread. At least the Tyrnos 30 has a 5.0:1 ratio (TLD25 3.6:1) to get the spread in quicker with a 2.5:1 to fight if you need it.
If money wasn't a issue it'd be one Tiagra 30 and two 50's.
I've also used the Penn's and they were nice but I'll stick with Shimano.

I have a couple of Penn Inter 30w which are awesome reels. I also have a TLD25 which has been an absolute workhorse and never let me down.

Hmmmm, divided
Might get 2 x Tiagras and 2 x Internationals - that keeps it fair. I'm thinking the 30VSW and 30A. Pretty lineball between them to be honest aside from line capacity (650m Shimano v 800m Penn).
Surprised nobody runs Avets, Alutechnos, Okumas or anything other than the "obvious two". Might be a lesson in that.....

Currently using a TLD 25 for 15kg mono and a Torium 16 for the 30lb braid. Havent had a prob with either. Definately go a waterproof drag in a small boat. Non waterproof can get lumpy when they warm up after having a bit of salt spray in em. Have had penn 50tw that copped a caining on east coast land based game fishing and had no dramas.
