Went in the other day to check out a new rod.
Well.. they are running out the finnor offshore jig rods down from $289.......... to $129 each!!!
HOLY CRAP!!!! I already have 6 of these but..... a man loves his rod!!
So I thought Id be a bit cheeky and haggle a bit, knowing full well Im getting one anyway for that!!!
Well... I walked out with 4 new finnor jig rods for $400!!!!! DAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!

So if anyone out there needs a great rod... go and take a look... I personally LOVE the 30Lb and 50Lb... Can go out jigging snapper etc, and then come in close and light enough to use the same rod for catching Bream and Whiting!!! Do yourselves a favour and pick one up for $129!!!
They come in spin and overhead... in 30Lb, 50Lb, 80Lb and 100Lb..

Got to say Dooma you have a good deal there - I dropped in on my local perth store (never really had any good service from my local GO store) this morning and the best they can do is $155, the kid serving me gave it the hard sell - 'I think they're quite good rods, they might be made of some carbon or graphite stuff, but im not sure?'. Chuckle.
A real shame as i was itching for the 50lb OH for heavier jigging and a bit of trolling.

Hence why Im giving them a bit of a plug now!! So Im guessing you didnt get the 50Lb'er...
I might be driving back through next week.. If so Ill see if I can pick up a few more!! If I drive right down to Perth Ill bring one with me for you if you want... Thats if I can get one again for that price!!!

Safdly no I didn't get one as I was more than a little disappointed in the inability to price match, I did find them online at a couple of stores for $129 but only in spin for the 50lb and I have a Trinidad I was keen to try out on it.......so since you have made such a fantastic offer yes I would very much like to take you up on it - a 50lb in overhead please. I'll throw in some beer for your efforts or cover your fuel as thats a great gesture.

I quite like my local
I quite like my local Getawaystore in Bentley, the owner Glen and his fishing sectio manager Tony are both mad fishos so always excellent advice and story swapping. They always do deals with me on gear and bait when I'm heading north.
