Track
Heard that the road in is very rough, been a few trailers coming in to town minus guards and lights.
Give the station a ring to see if camping space is available at the 3 mile camp.

yep
Gnaraloo has been chockers with boats for the last couple of weeks, you might get lucky and get a spot, otherwise you could probably do it the hard way in the shearing shed...

Cath ya at the beach ramp
Cath ya at the beach ramp Dhu4 ! Deflate tyres as soon as your off the bitumen mate. Worst sections are from Blowies to Quobba (limestone corregations), but as soon as past the Salt Mine and into the sand country things smooth out (a bit)...
there's no ramp...beach launch in soft sand..(use grates supplied for recovery ALWAYS). There are a few submerged moorings that you can dive and attach chain to..saw boys do that last year..

Just got back
Just got back last weekend. Track wasn't the best, but if you take it easy should be no problems, even with a 24ft boat. It would be a long drive up in the boat from Carnavan, especially if conditions were not great! I took up a 19ft boat and had no problems and there were heaps of bigger boats than mine (even a couple of big leisure cats) so you should have no problems getting the boat in and out on the right tides (try to avoid the high, as sand is softer and there is typically more water movement which erodes the sand from under your tyres). There was plenty of sites available at 3 mile when I left so I would be surprised if you can't get a spot.
There is a few moorings, but i always put an anchor down as a backup. Most of the morrings have been brought up by people for their stay, so I wouldnt trust them like i would a permanent mooring.
In terms of spots, nothing specific, but if your refer to my post under - Gnaraloo Reports 2009, this should give you some ideas.
Good luck
