Goldfish caught??

Read in this mornings paper that an 8kg carp/goldfish was caught by Luke Thom down south over the weekend. Luke speared the fish after tracking it in a canoe then hopping in the water to spear it.
Wonder if its the one that someone was asking for ideas on catching not long back.

It takes a strong fish to swim against the current. Even a dead one can float with it

they are classed as an
they are classed as an introduced pest in our waterways and they need to be removed, the same as redfin perch. the carp eat all the crustacean that clean up the shite off the bottom of the waterways , including marron and yabbies
