A morning with Uncle Stu and Family
Submitted by UncutTriggerInWA on Mon, 2009-04-27 18:49
Another beautiful morning at my favourite spot.
Herring and Gar were there in large numbers. No Tailor today. I did get smoked by a large Mulloway. A fault with my reel during the fight let to the fish going into the reef and stripping my braid. Oh well, another day another "could have been".
Thanks for the company Stu and co.

Gotta love Autumn
This time of year is magic Colin. Some great conditions. I'm waiting for it to get a bit rougher then hopefully, larger Tailor, the odd Salmon and some nice Mullies will start to frequent this reef. It's just fantastic to have a place like this available just 30 mins from home.
Cheers, Vince

Hey Roger
Be great to see you here and share our pristine shoreline.
The reel is my Mitchell Orca 80S pro. An oldie but a really good reel. I am shopping around on the net now to see if I can find parts for it. It's too damn good to lay to rest. I found a shopin Canada. Just waiting on return emails.

Looks like a fair crowd there Vince. Or is that all of Stu's
family (Lol).
Real shame about the mulla. What happened with your reel?

Crowds
Yes; there was some traffic there today for sure. Good thing is the whole coastline is fishable so no need for stepping on each others toes.
The bail arm is stuffed Colin. I need a new one.

That's a bummer. There's not much you can do when one of
those packs it in on a good fish.
