Good day out

Had a good day out with Marble yesterday, been a long time since I'd hit the water so well and truly made up for it.  Nice to finally have some fish stocked up, especially with the likelihood of a cyclone going to ruin the vis over the next month or two.  Trout was a lucky find going 68, lots of red crays but couldn't be bothered going back to the boat for the snare.  Tasty dinners coming up.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Red crays imo, lot less tough too. Mind you, learnt a pretty good thai marinade for the painteds that goes down a treat.

 Definately red crays better

Mon, 2012-01-16 16:56

Definately red crays better eating all round .

Was a top day out thanks mate .

That coral that you and I looked at and didnt dive Bec and I found some nice blueys there saturday arvo. One became dinner anchored up in the shallows sat night and the frame got hung on a rope out the back and kept Bec amused for hours playing tug-a-war with the little whalers before bed . Didnt find any more red crays but some really good looking ground that will get a return trip very soon I think.
