Was lucky enough to get to go out with bj and garbo on bjs boat (my first time on a boat) , was a productive morning with a steady catch of skippy and seargeant bakers nothing to impressive till bj landed what we assume to be a 30kg sambo was a big prick thats for sure! afternoon was pretty unprodactive few skippy here and there i nabbed a small dhu fish and a blue devil fish and the garbo hooked onto an average dhu fish and brought it in overall had a great time and a lot of fun cheers bj and garbo!

hopefully not the last
hopefully not the last col! musnt of been to bad out there got invited back again ( even though i was hopeless at fiirst kept getting snagged while drifting poor garbo had to keep stopping fishing to help set me back up) had an absoloute ball but, and yeh not to productive when i went out later that night did get some big bites and a couple of runs first time spat the hook shortly after and second time snapped my line was 14pound braid with 20 pound mono leader so not sure why or what it was but got an alright size flatty on my small rod which was good fun on the light tackle

Good one mate It is all part of the learning experience
We have all caught snags and lost fish.
Just make sure your drag is not too tight.
A lot of people suggest that your drag should be set at between 25 and 33 percent of the unknotted line strength. I would tend to be on the upward end of that scale if there are rocks or reef around.
