gopro for stills??

Need a new camera after the last one got under the wheels of the cruiser.

How is the quality of the gopro hero 3 black version when shooting a lot of indoor still shots??

Would it be good for this or am I better off buying another point and shoot?

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Keep in mind it's an ultra wide angle fisheye, so won't suit a lot of things, particularly photos of people ;)

 Difficult as you can't see

Difficult as you can't see what you are shooting unless you get the LCD back. Buy the time you add up the cost you could have gotten a hell of a good compact.

You can vary the angle fron 90 120 and 170 degrees on the gopro 2 so im assuming the 3 will be the same , awsome cameras ,good to strap to the boat and get all the antics of a trip   good fun

Gopro 2 gets pretty noisy in

Gopro 2 gets pretty noisy in low light.  Don't think the 3 would be a lot different. Not good for indoor.  For indoor stills you'll want a dedicated still camera.

Gopros are great, just not for what you describe.
