gopro for stills??

Need a new camera after the last one got under the wheels of the cruiser.

How is the quality of the gopro hero 3 black version when shooting a lot of indoor still shots??

Would it be good for this or am I better off buying another point and shoot?

Not good for indoor. For indoor stills you'll want a dedicated still camera. Gopros are great, just not for what you describe.
