Had a great day out in mostly average weather conditions off Mindarie today , 9 dhu to 13kg , 2 gummys over 10kg , 2 nice blackass , Kg"s , 2 nice SBT's on 10lb jig ,and a100kg ? 3metre wobby on my Calcutta 200 and Catalina bayjigging rod , ran home at dusk in absolutely shit conditions which only impressed me more on the BC performance, good day!

Wobby
wobby was cut off at the boat, went back to his wreck in 45m off Mindarie wearing a 7/0 piece of jewellery! Not sure how heavy he was but similar to a pro craypot!

That's a bloody big wobby
I don't think I've ever seen one that big before, imagine if that found its way into your cray pot.

Getting some blood on the
Getting some blood on the deck!
I went for a solo bash yesterday and blanked out besides a Sgt Baker, wrasse and a huge boltcutter. Got 3 good hits on the jig first 2 drifts but dropped all 3 within seconds of hooking up
. The bite went stone cold after that directly in line with the almanac. Wasted 40 minutes trying to park at Hillarys

was a good day
gone 3 for 3 with the crusher so far (3 trips /3 bag limits) so im happy with the results , best thing i did was go from the TM260 on the last boat to the p66 on the new 588 , i dont fish deeper than 110m and normally only up to 80m but being to read crystal clear at 30kts plus and mark ground with precision on the furuno screen with the markfish unit is paying dividends . we had action all day on Saturday after a gentlemens hours start at 8am but i dont read the alamanac anyhow .

How good is the Markfish!
I got a 5m boat and 3 kids under 8. If I stuck to the almanac I'd never get out haha

Markfish
markfish is excellent, really love it. You need to delete the spots in the Furuno though as it only holds 20 , still records them on the Lowrance though.

Must of been a setup issue
Must of been a setup issue for the P66 to perform better than a TM260? The TM260 is a way more sensitive transducer.
Saw your boat at the show too, very nice mate!

Tm 260
the Tm 260 is a great unit but a brick on the transom is difficult to get to read well over 20kts!

Don't think I could ever go
Don't think I could ever go for a transom mount transducer again after having in hulls. Get them in clean water and they are awesome. Always had problems blowing off the p66's at speed. Even araldite couldn't hold the bracket together.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

P66
this one has so far read perfectly up to 37.6kts in 35m of water so very happy, hope the bracket stays together

the 615 WR
it gets a bit flighty over 35kts in the ocean though so not sure what top speed is yet!

Prop ?
What size prop did they put on the 140 Suzuki Ryan ? And just the standard alloy painted Suzuki model or a S/Steel Job?
Good top end either way, and if your economy figures are still as good as last report after another trip or two its a good advertisement for the Crusher thats for sure.
Cheers,
Disco.

615 WR Prop
its a painted alloy 14x19 Disco and we used under 50L for a 10 Hr day and the motor did not get turned off as I "hover" over spots in reverse idle and due to conditions I was working the throttle moving between spots all day trying the trim of the boat in the lumpy conditions, absolutely amazed by the economy of the 140 Suzuki compared to the 250 Yammy on my last boat (8m hardtop)

Economy!!
Youve got to be happy with that - 50L for a days fishing is sensational !!
Looking forward to a report from a nice day when you can trim it right up and see what WOT brings..
Great combo the 615 / and the 140 Suzuki, looking forward to getting my hands on one soon.
Cheers,
Disco.

Yeah mate took me a while to start finding some decent ground out of Hillarys. Gonna chase the tuna pretty hard during the ban and mark up a whole bunch more.
