I use to live up there about

I use to live up there about 15 years ago. haven't fished since then but heres some of my tips(from 15 years ago)

The main jetty at sunset and a few hour after is (was?) great for bread and butter fish.

float a mulie (or half mulies) for Tailor, Snook

Float a smaller bait of squid or prawn for bull herring. If you burly up and they come in, you can get a feed very quickly on glittery pre rigged bait catchers.

If u sink any big baits, you are likly to get spooled by some monster resident rays, smaller baits on the bottom harassed by rock cod.

Keep an eye out for squid cruzing bettween the cray boat tenders under the jetty lights at night.

If you can find sandy spots on the jetty beach (depending in weed) you should get a feed of sand whiting and the odd flathead or flounder during the day.

South bay can turn up some awesome sessions if the wind is right, which is very rare. If your lucky enough to get an easterly at sunset (don't hold your breath). get down to the second car park (i thik it has changed since i was there last so about 1km south of the boat ramp) a couple of hours before sunset and bury up to bring in the herring. sometimes schools of tailor come in, if they do, its mental. drop mulies in front of the second sand bar and watch it get belted. its fast and furious but only a chance depending on the wind.

Not too sure about the boating side of things but there are plenty of squid on the weed.
